Biography

Before joining Buckinghamshire New University in 2023, I was employed as an Applied Research Scientist (2020-present) by Humain Ltd and my research consists of looking at deep learning techniques to accelerate and automate the 3D modelling and animation pipeline. Between 2018 and 2020, I was working as a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) associate employed by Bournemouth University as academic partner and complete the scientific and technological innovation of KTP programme on automatic face recognition and 3D model deformation, the result was awarded the highest grade of “outstanding”. Meantime, I have also served as a reviewer for SCI journals and conferences, including top conferences and journal in computer vision field, such as CVPR, ECCV and IEEE TPAMI.

I studied for my PhD in in National Centre for Computer Animation (NCCA) at Bournemouth University (2013-2018). My research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Computer vision, Deep learning and Computer graphics. I have published 21 papers and participated in 11 grants as a main contributor in recent years. Based on these projects, I’m working to deliver high-quality research outcomes, with my passion and technical skills to contribute to the Computer Animation, Computer Graphics and Artificial intelligence fields, and being passionate to develop and promote the innovative use of AI in the animation production pipeline.

I am a member of Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) with a Professional Membership, and a member of IEEE.

My specialist knowledge has led me to work with University of Surrey, Ulster University, Queen's university Belfast, Bournemouth University and Humain Ltd, such as on projects of Innovate UK – Knowledge Transfer Partnerships, Innovate UK – Audience of the Future, EU CfACTs Marie Sklodowska-Curie Action, Invest Northern Ireland – Grant for R&D Support etc.

My career highlight to date is my ongoing work with the industry and universities in worldwide to publish research findings and make meaningful contributions to the computer graphics and virtual reality fields.
