Nursing and Midwifery open day FAQs

We appreciate there’s a lot to cover at our open days, so here are a few frequently asked questions to help you plan. If there’s something you want to know that we’ve not covered here, give us a call on 0330 123 2023 or email us.

We’ve got course talks, campus tours, a chance to try out our amazing skills labs longer with advice from our admissions, accommodation and student support teams.  There’s a lot going on, so we recommend making a list of priorities and having a think about what you may want to ask, for example, what do you need to know about studying here, the application process or how student finance works?

During your visit, try and get acquainted with some of the places you could be spending your time in over the next few years. If you’ve got free time afterwards, we’d suggest taking a wander around town to get a proper feel for our local community.

If you want to ask us something before you arrive please call 0330 123 20 23 or email us.

Plenty of people attend open days on their own but bringing someone else along for support is a great idea!

If you’ve booked but can no longer make it, you can cancel or amend your booking using the relevant booking form above and selecting the ‘I have a booking’ tab. You’ll need your booking reference in order to change your booking, which can be found on your event confirmation email. If you have any problems with this, please don’t hesitate to contact us and we’ll be happy to assist.

When you register for our open day online, you will be sent a unique barcode by email. You’ll need to present this (either electronically or printed) at the Welcome Desk when you arrive. There will be lots of staff and students on campus directing you where to go, so once we’ve signed you in for the event, we’ll let you know what to do next.

Our Nursing and Midwifery open days are held at our Uxbridge and Aylesbury campuses.

Uxbridge

  • Train: If you’re taking the tube, we’re a short walk through the high street from Uxbridge Underground Station.
  • Bus: The nearest bus stop to campus is Uxbridge High Street, which is just a 5-minute walk away.
  • Car: The campus is just off the M40 motorway, along the A4020. There is no parking available on campus, so if you’re travelling by car we recommend using one of the public car parks – Cedars Car Park, Grainges Car Park and The Chimes Shopping Centre are all within a 10-minute walk.

Aylesbury

  • Train: Chiltern Railways run the line between London Marylebone and Aylesbury, with the campus around a 10-minute walk from the station.
  • Bus: The nearest bus stop to campus is Walton Street, which is just a couple of minutes away when walking.
  • Car: When using a sat nav to get to us, use the postcode HP21 7QG which should bring you right outside the front. However, there is no parking available on campus, so if you’re travelling by car we recommend using one of the public car parks – Walton Street Car Park and Waterside North Car Park are both within a 5-minute walk.
