Our state-of-the-art Gateway Gym is available to all students during their time at BNU and is fully equipped with the very latest training equipment. We have fully qualified, experienced Fitness Coaches who are on hand to assist at all times.
We have two light and spacious libraries - one at our High Wycombe campus and the other at Uxbridge campus. You can search for books, journals and articles in our online library, access library resources and much more.
Sport and Fitness facilities
Stretch and relax at Fitness Pilates, work your muscles with Reps and Sets, or squeeze in a quick H.I.I.T workout. Becoming a student member at Gateway Gym is a great way to stay active while you study and find ways to exercise that you love. We offer a wide variety of sporting activities from basketball and badminton, to martial arts, table tennis, indoor football and netball.
Whatever your faith, or even if you have none, if you are looking for spiritual guidance or want to find a place to worship, our multi-faith team should be your first port of call. We have a multi-faith prayer/quiet room (The Sanctuary) available on each campus for quiet reflection, meditation and prayer for those of any faith or none in room N1.10 on the High Wycombe Campus and 3.09 Uxbridge Campus.
Human Performance, Exercise and Wellbeing Centre
The Human Performance, Exercise and Wellbeing Centre is part of the High Wycombe Campus and brings together our teaching, research and enterprise across health, sport, exercise and wellbeing. The centre comprises of our Human Performance Laboratory (HPL) and our Sports and Wellbeing Clinic, which is accessible to staff, students and the public.

School of Art, Design and Performance
At Buckinghamshire New University we are extremely proud to showcase industry-standard studios, technical machines and high quality equipment. Students have access to course-specific spaces to work, collaborate and create inspiring spaces. The High Wycombe Campus has an industry-standard range of art and design facilities, including a computer lab, a photography studio, the Red Shed textiles facility, workshops for wood, metal and ceramics, and facilities for mold-making and plaster work.
Our four dance and drama studios at Bucks are bright, open spaces, where you can let your creativity flow. All our air conditioned studios contain overhead gallery lighting, audio playback facilities, fully sprung floors and wall length mirrors.
Our BA (Hons) Photography students can benefit from industry-standard lighting studios, wet darkroom, professional scanning suite and print bureau at our High Wycombe campus. They will also have access to a range of cameras (analogue and digital) available for loan to support their practice.
School of Media and Creative Industries
Our state of the art recording studios give you access to the space and technology you need, from individual edit rooms up to large Pro Tools HD studios with attached live rooms and vocal booths. Find out more about all four recording studios as well as our two project suites.
Our film studio spaces include an industry-standard Vizrt broadcast virtual studio system as well as audio-visual editing suites, with Final Cut Pro/Studio, Avid and other audio-visual sequencer/plug-ins and related software on Mac Pros. The suites are acoustically treated and sympathetically lit.
School of Aviation and Security
The School of Aviation and Security boasts an Elite S812 FNPT II flight simulator. This features a single pilot, fully enclosed spacious cockpit with a fully integrated enclosed instructor station as well as an external visual system and can be used for instrument training, simulator practice, supporting theoretical training, and much more. The Police Code of Practice Suite facilitates the development of practical skills and knowledge relevant to policing in a safe learning environment. All three areas within the suite are connected to a classroom by audio and video links enabling wide student participation, observation, discussion and feedback of the various police related scenarios practiced.
