We’re proud to be one of the few universities in the UK to have an Elite S812 FNPT II flight simulator available on campus for our pilot students. This crucial piece of equipment allows our students to put their knowledge into practice without leaving the ground.

Created for our policing students, the suite allows you to develop practical skills and knowledge in a safe learning environment. All areas are connected to a classroom by audio and video links enabling wide student participation, discussion and feedback of the various police related scenarios practiced.

  • Simulation suites

Simulation is an important aspect of our Nursing and Midwifery programmes. Students regularly spend time in these areas, to practice technical skills and use the newest technologies, in a safe and supportive environment.

School of Human and Social Sciences

The psychology labs give our students and researchers a space to apply theory to research, analyse complex data and unravel the mysteries of the brain. To help us understand human behaviour, we’ve invested in a range of equipment that tracks eye movements, measures physiological responses, and explores the use of Virtual Reality.
