Key dates for the 2025/26 Academic Years

Please note: The following dates do not apply to students on the pre-registration Nursing, BSc and MSc Social Work, BSc Occupational Therapy, and BSc Occupational Therapy Degree Apprenticeship programmes, who should instead refer to their Programme Handbook and Placements Planner on their Blackboard shell for details of term and holiday dates.

October 2025 intake*

* Most standard Undergraduate courses will run between Autumn term and Spring term but some may have an additional fourth Summer Term. Please refer to your specific course details regarding which terms your course will run.

October 2025 (returning students on semester-based courses)

January 2026 intake*

* Most standard courses will run between the Winter term and Summer term and some may have an additional fourth Autumn Term. Please refer to your specific course details regarding which terms your course will run.

April 2026 intake*

* Most standard courses will run between the Spring term and Autumn term and some may have an additional fourth Winter Term. Please refer to your specific course details regarding which terms your course will run.

Bank Holidays

There is no scheduled teaching on Bank Holidays.

* If a bank holiday is on a weekend, a 'substitute' weekday becomes a bank holiday, normally the following Monday. These revised dates are reflected in the table above.
