About our Gym
The Gateway Gym at BNU is fully equipped with the very latest training equipment. We have fully qualified, experienced Fitness Coaches who are on hand to assist at all times and can work with you to develop a personalised training programme, based exclusively around your goals. Our dedicated group cycling studio is complete with a MyRide+™ system and disco lights to fully immerse participants throughout the ride.
Other group exercise classes take place in one of our two large studios. We also have a new personal training studio complete with functional rig available for use within personal training sessions. This opens up amazing opportunities for 1-2-1 and small group training targeted specifically to you. Pop into the university and ask for a gym show round if you would like to take a closer look.

I graduated from BNU with a degree in Dance Fitness and achieved the personal trainer award as part of the programme. I am passionate about helping people achieve their health and fitness goals and to enjoy the many benefits of being active. I am studying Dance and Fitness at BNU. I am a mature student who decided to take the plunge and give up my day job to study something I am really passionate about. I love combining dance and exercise. Movement to music brings me so much joy, so as well as coaching in the gym, you’ll also catch me teaching fun group exercise classes like Burlexercise®. I moved to the UK from South Africa 3 years ago and I am now studying Dance and Fitness here at BNU. I have recently gained my Personal Trainer Qualification and I am looking forward to training clients at the Gateway Gym. Unmistakably Italian but living in the UK since 2012. I competed as a cyclist from the age of 6 till 18 and achieved a Bronze medal at the Italian Track Championships in 2003. I have worked in the Fitness Industry for the last 2 years and you can count on me to bring a smile and fun into the Gym.
