1) Emotional Intelligence by Daniel Goleman

This is a must-read for psychology because this book will basically show you how to master emotional Jedi techniques. Secondly, it would help educate yourself on ideas that will help you remain motivated even when everything seems hopeless, to recognize the deeper emotions you're experiencing so you can adjust your behaviour. Thirdly, helps to become adept at navigating challenging social circumstances.

2) Predictably Irrational by Dan Ariely

Another must-read for psychology is Predictably Irrational by Dan Ariely. Dan Ariely shows that despite what you may have heard, we are not logical beings and that we are bound to make mistakes. Hence, we must continually remind ourselves of the benefits of specific actions and the need to continue carrying them out, such as eating a balanced diet. Also, why some actions are harmful and the necessity of stopping ourselves whenever we see a chocolate cake. In addition, there is a long list of other harmful behaviours we need to give up if we want to guide our lives in the proper way.

3) The Evolving Self by Robert Kegan

Another must-read for psychology would be ‘The evolving Self' by Robert Kegan. Robert explores how our behaviour and goals change as we get older in this not-so-well-known book, but unquestionably essential read. Robert Kegan reveals the usual course of a person's development, the kinds of experiences he will eventually love, and how he interacts with the things and people around him. He wants to teach us that the things we own don't define who we are; they just happen to be there by demonstrating these stages of evolution. Thinking, Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman.

4) The Interpretation of Dreams by Sigmund Freud

In this must-read, Freud seeks to bring the unconscious into consciousness. His research suggests that dreams are where our true selves and desires are revealed. The issue? Our dreams contain highly encrypted narratives. There is a cause behind that as well. The dream will rapidly become a nightmare if you can plainly see what you lack in it because dreams are about what we want but still don't have.

5) The Social Animal by Elliot Aronson

This must-read by Elliot Aronson teaches you how to manipulate social dynamics. With simplicity and humour, Elliot Aronson explained what psychologists know about how people behave in social situations. This book is for people looking to improve their interpersonal communication abilities. The subject of human conduct is extensively covered in the book. Its importance makes it a required psychology book for everyone, not just specialists. But also, for any self-respecting person looking for ways to improve their global citizenship. Here are a few examples of the book's contexts: obedience, conflicts, and racial tensions.
