Apprenticeship Application process

At BNU, we offer range of apprenticeships in the Business, Healthcare, Social Work, Engineering and Digital sectors. At every stage of the Application process, the apprenticeship team will support you and the candidates.

Candidate Selection

  • The candidate selection process depends on the employer and identifying candidates that are best suited for the apprenticeship. At this stage the Business development team will support you with selection process. Email your nominated Apprenticeship team representative with a document detailing names and contact details of your selected candidates.
  • The candidates will be sent a link to an online application which takes approximately 45 minutes to complete.
  • Supporting documents such as prior certification (including Level 2 English and maths) and evidence of Right to Work in the United Kingdom needs to be uploaded in the application.

 

Eligibility and Entry Requirements

  • The candidate would be required to have Level 2 Maths and English. If the candidate does not have the required qualifications, they can undertake Level 2 Maths and English with our training provider before the EPA (End Point Assessment)
  • Evidence of Level 3 attainment (e.g. A-Levels) Those without formal Level 3 academic qualifications will need to demonstrate 3+ of relevant career experience.
  • Candidates must be working minimum of 30 hours a week
  • 6 hours off-the-job training

Interview and Offers

  • After submitting the Application, the admissions team will complete all the eligibility checks which would take approximately 5-8 days
  • Successful candidates will be invited to an interview with a member of the academic team and will be asked to fill in an Individual Needs Assessment (INA) document identifying their existing experiences, skills and knowledge which will be discussed in the interview.

 

Pre enrolment and Contracting

The Compliance and Reporting team would support you with all government required contracts to be read, understood and signed.

 

Enrolment and starting your journey

Prior to starting the programme, both the employer and apprentice will receive a Welcome email with a link to their joining instructions and key information about the programme.
