Biography

Before joining Buckinghamshire New University in 2023, I worked as a registered nurse for over fourteen years. I was (and still am) a practice nurse, working part-time in a local general practice. My last role served as a practice educator for an NHS trust in collaboration with NHS England. My academic background includes a BSc in Nursing Practice from the University of Bedfordshire and a Graduate Certificate in General Practice Nursing from BNU. My area of interest and research is in primary care. I am a proud member of the Nursing & Midwifery Council, the Royal College of Nursing, and the Queen Nursing Institute.

My specialist knowledge and experience have enabled me to work in collaboration with NHSE/HEE, universities, BOB ICS, PCN, and surgeries on supporting Registered Nurse Degree Apprentice (RNDA), Nursing Associates, Return to Practice, and delivering the NMC new Standard Student Supervision and Assessment (SSSA) within primary care.

My greatest accolade to date is being a Queens nurse member of the Queen Nurse Institute (QNI), a testament to my dedication and commitment to the nursing profession.
