Biography

Before joining Buckinghamshire New University in 2023, I worked as a Senior Lecturer in Anatomy at the University of Hail. Prior to this, I worked as an Assistant Professor in the Anatomy department at Maharashtra Institute of Medical Sciences and Research. My areas of interest include teaching gross, clinical, functional and applied anatomy and Basic Medical Sciences, embryology and histology.

My special interest in Neuroanatomy motivated me to explore my knowledge toward the research on ‘Histogenesis of Neurons in the Nucleus of Hypoglossal Nerve – A study in foetuses’. My Master's Degree in Medical Anatomy was from the School of Medical Education.  I am an approved teacher and external examiner for Higher Education Institutes internationally.

My research interests are Neuroanatomy, Clinical anatomy, Medical Education, Histology, and Gross anomalies and their clinical implications. As a Student Research Guide, I motivated them to present their outcome at national and international conferences. I am trained using an Anatomage table and plastinated specimens for teaching Anatomy. To keep updated, I am attending workshops, conferences, training, webinars and CPD programs. I have presented the research findings at conferences and published them in indexed journals. Worked as an Internal Auditor in the Deanship of Quality and Accreditation for NCAAA, Saudi Arabia, ACIS, UK and AHPGS, Germany.

I am currently a registered member of the British Association of Clinical Anatomists [BACA], UK and the Anatomical Society of India [ASI]. I am also a Fellow of the Academy of General Education, India.

My greatest accolade to date is the ongoing research collaboration with Centro Universitário Augusto Motta / UNISUAM, Brazil as a part of my Post-Doctoral Fellowship.
