Biography

Before joining Buckinghamshire New University in Nov 2021, I worked internationally as a marketing manager for the German multinational Voith with a regional responsibility for Sub-Saharan Africa, and later with the Swedish multinational SKF as the Global machine tool segment marketing manager. Projects I have worked on span across Asia, Europe, Africa and the Americas. I have also worked on marketing led, LEAN transformation projects and have digital transformation strategy experience.

I studied for my MSc Digital Marketing at Oxford Brooks University and my specialist area of interest is industry/industrial marketing. My thesis was on the marketing mix in the context of marketing 4.0 and industry 4.0.  It’s interesting because marketing is an operationally strategic function that spans the entire business as does the application of IOT – it is current, relevant and strategic for industry.

I am a Fellow of The Chartered Institute of Marketing and an Associate Fellow of the Academy of Higher Education.

My specialist knowledge has led me to work with international industrial brands (Voith, David Brown, Grindex, ECMining, MultiTech, SKF etc.) on organisational transformation and marketing projects.

My greatest accolade to date was the opportunity to work with Mr Benno Morlock from Voith (currently President of Voith Paper Fabric & Roll Systems GMbh) to start an organisational, marketing led (Lean) transformation of the Voith Industrial division to high performance marketing led company (incorporating IOT). The work done was the pilot project that was scaled up and used as the baseline for the global transformation of the Voith Industry Division (Voith Turbo).
