Professor Qichun (Kit) Zhang

Before joining Buckinghamshire New University in 2024, I was Associate Professor at the University of Bradford, Senior Lecturer at De Montfort University, and Senior Research Officer at the University of Essex. I studied for my PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Manchester. 

My specialist area of research is data-driven complex system design and analysis including control, filtering, and optimisation. I am a Chartered Engineer, Senior Member in IEEE, and a Fellow of Higher Education Academy (FHEA). Currently, I serve as an Associate Editor for leading journals, e.g. the Journal of Intelligent Manufacturing (JIMS) and others. I am a member of the EPSRC Peer-review College.
