Misbah Saleem

Biography

Before joining Buckinghamshire New University in 2023, I studied biomedical science at Kingston University for my undergraduate degree, gaining a solid foundation in the field. During that time, I even had the amazing opportunity to do a short biomedical placement abroad in Cyprus, broadening my horizons and experiencing healthcare in a different setting.

Before pursuing my Masters in Physician Associate studies at Brunel University, I shadowed and worked in the NHS for 2 years in different roles gaining valuable knowledge on the way the NHS works, administration and healthcare. Over the past 2 years since qualifying, I've been immersed in the fast-paced world of general and emergency medicine, gaining a wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience.

Now as an Associate Lecturer for Clinical Skills, I get to share all that valuable knowledge with the students. I have the privilege of teaching them both in the university and during their clinical placements at BHT. This unique approach helps me identify their needs and provide tailored guidance to help them excel further. It's amazing to see how my real-world experiences can contribute to their learning and prepare them for their own careers in healthcare.

I am a member of FPARCP.
