Kimberley Wakefield

Biography

I am a true Pan-Canadian, having lived, worked, and/or gone to school across the country from Halifax to Vancouver. I received my BA from McGill University in Montreal, majoring in Sociology and Political Science and my MBA from Dalhousie University in Halifax, specializing in Marketing and International Business. I discovered and fell in love with the field of positive psychology so to re-train I completed my MSc in Applied Positive Psychology in 2019 at Buckinghamshire New University.

Along with being an Associate Lecturer on the MAPP program I am also a positive psychology coach with my own practice based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I use evidence-based models developed in the field of positive psychology to help people lead flourishing, resilient, and fulfilling lives. Over the course of my career, I have held senior positions in corporate settings, a national not-for-profit, political campaigns, and a female-led entrepreneurial business. I am also a Board member of the Canadian Positive Psychology Association and was the Chair of Marketing and Communications at their last conference.
