Joe Foreshew

Biography

Before joining Buckinghamshire New University as a Senior Lecturer within the Tactical Athlete Performance Centre (TAPC), Joe served in the British Army for 27 years and left the service as an Officer in the Royal Army Physical Training Corps. During his time in the Army he Served In locations around the world working in the following areas, Exercise Rehabilitation, Recruit Training, Research and Development and training Elite Forces.

Joe holds a BSc (Hons) in Sport and Exercise Science and a MSc in Sports Coaching Science. Joe is a passionate runner and has competed at international level and has represented the Army and Inter Services for Road and Cross Country Running. Joe is now an established coach and is a level 3 UK Athletics Endurance coach and was the Lead Endurance Coach for the British Army Running Team. 

Having served within the military he is passionate about optimising human performance within tactical populations to ensure service personnel are best prepared to serve in hostile environments giving them the best chance to succeed.
