Biography

Before joining BNU, I previously held a position at Santander, where I gained valuable experience in the corporate sector. Subsequently, I transitioned to the Academic Registry at Buckinghamshire New University, contributing to the academic domain and further expanding my skill set. These diverse experiences have equipped me with a well-rounded perspective and a versatile skill set that I bring to any professional endeavour.

I hold an MSc in International Aviation Regulation and Law as well as an LLB in Business Law at BNU. My current teaching experience combined with my travel has given me a strong understanding of the issues affecting tourism. I am an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA), underlining my commitment to the highest standards of teaching excellence.

I remain highly committed to my further development as I shall be completing my Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice (PGCAP), with the title of Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. In addition, I have also started to prepare to work towards a PhD within the School of Aviation and hope to start within the next year. I am passionate about contributing to impactful research that addresses pressing societal issues. I am particularly interested in engaging in diverse research initiatives, with a specific focus on two areas that hold significant importance to me. Firstly, I aspire to delve into research related to human trafficking in aviation, aiming to shed light on this grave issue and identify potential solutions to combat it.

Additionally, I am keen on exploring education-related topics, specifically focusing on the implementation of reasonable adjustments in the higher education sector. Recognising the importance of creating inclusive environments for all students, I aim to contribute to research that addresses barriers and promotes equal opportunities in academia. By investigating effective strategies and advocating for necessary adjustments, I hope to contribute to positive changes in the higher education landscape.
