Welcoming Libby Homer to BNU

Libby Homer

We’re very pleased to welcome Libby Homer as our new Chief Student Experience Officer, a role created as part of our ongoing commitment to delivering a more coherent, inclusive and student-first experience across the University.

Libby will join BNU on 16 March from Anglia Ruskin University, where she was Director of Student and Library Services and a member of the University Executive Team. She brings extensive higher education experience, having previously held roles at the University of East London, SOAS University of London and the University of Surrey. She is also a former Co-Chair of SCONUL, has co-chaired several groups for Jisc, and is a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Commenting on her appointment, Libby said: “I am delighted to be joining BNU in such an exciting role. I'm really looking forward to working with so many committed staff and students to further enhance our student experience.”

Libby will lead the Student Experience Group, bringing together services that have a direct and vital impact on our students, including the Directorate for Student Success, the Office of the Dean of Students, Outreach and Recruitment, Admissions and Conversion teams, and colleagues across the University who support careers, placements and employability.

The Group will play a key role in embedding a strong student first mindset, enhancing joined-up working and building on initiatives such as the Student Hub to provide a more seamless, supportive experience for our learners.
