At BNU we have a range of state-of-the-art-facilities for you to get hands-on with whilst studying your architectural design degree. You’ll undertake and develop computer-aided design (CAD), data analysis and environmental modelling skills in our dedicated studios - all essential skills for Architectural Technologists to acquire and apply to project work. You will learn AutoCAD, Revit, 3D Studio Max, Rhino and Photoshop through structured lessons in IT/CAD suites and studios.

Our advanced performance spaces provide the perfect environment to bring your creative ideas to life. From three drama studios and expansive rehearsal studios to a kitted-out props store, you’ll put your skills and knowledge to practice in our open spaces.

Animation students can use industry-standard equipment, facilities and software, including a motion capture studio, Faceware kits, and Xsens suits. On campus we have an ASUS ProArt lab featuring Scan 3XS workstations and a range of high performance display monitors from the Asus ProArt range.

Our well-maintained and fully equipped computing facilities feature large labs, some of which are specialized for cyber and AI studies. These labs are fitted with dual-screen, dual-boot (Windows and Linux) systems and cutting-edge software to develop the skills required in today's workplace. You'll also have access to advanced technologies, including virtual servers, VR headsets, 3D printers, Raspberry Pi microcomputers, EEG headsets, and more, ensuring a comprehensive and hands-on learning environment.

Within our state-of-the-art engineering facilities, you’ll find a range of industry-standard equipment, technology, machinery and software. Here you’ll have the opportunity to get hands-on with the kit and use your learnt and developed skills to become a well-rounded engineer.

Our Green Screen studio, video studios and editing suites are all kitted out with the professional-standard equipment you need. In our individual video edit booths equipped with powerful iMac Pros and our communal editing suites and teaching rooms equipped with i9 Macs, you’ll get the chance to become skilled with post-production software solutions. 

Our state of the art recording studios give you access to the space and technology you need, from individual edit rooms up to large Pro Tools Ultimate studios with attached live rooms and vocal booths. We are extremely excited to be one of the few academic institutes in the UK that has a Dolby Atmos certified recording studio.
