Come along to BNU’s Armed Forces Week exhibition
BNU is hosting an exhibition for Armed Forces Week between 20-24 June to support the military community from Buckinghamshire and celebrate BNU’s contribution to the defence sector.
The exhibition will showcase: the contributions of BNU’s serving and ex-serving military colleagues, students and alumni; the role of Buckinghamshire and its residents both during and post-wartimes; and the University’s history in providing education for Armed Forces personnel from the University’s origins 130 years ago to the present day.
BNU’s reputation in the defence sector has been growing due to the activity within the School of Aviation & Security, and has staff and students at the University that serve or have done previously. Last summer, the University received a Ministry of Defence Gold Award for outstanding support for veterans, those who serve, and their families.
The week-long event will be open to the public during lunchtimes with several special sessions held outside of these times for different groups, including one for colleagues and students.
