Job application support
Our Careers Success Team can help you throughout your career search and job application process. To make your job search as effective as possible, it’s worth starting with a plan of action. Once you know what types of opportunities you’re looking for and what skills and experience you want to develop, then you can really hit the ground running.
The most successful job applications are the ones that are targeted exactly to the position you’re applying for. By tweaking your application each time, you can show that you really understand the role and the organisation you’re hoping to join.
Your CV is your shop window. It shows potential employers all your strengths and skills and should give them all of the reasons why they should want to employ you.
Whether you need a covering letter with your CV depends on the type of role you’re applying for. And if you do need one, it’s worth taking time over. It could help you stand out from the competition and show a potential employer that you understand the role and their company.
Application forms are a handy way for employers and recruiters to ask all candidates the same questions and see how they respond.
Find out how to prepare for interviews to make sure you give it your best shot on the day. Our Career Success Team can give you lots of advice and suggestions to help you when you’re face to face with your potential employer. From making a good impression, to body language, and following up after the interview, we’ll help you through the whole interview process – to increase your chances of landing that dream job.
