My BNU story: BSc (Hons) Psychology and Criminology
My BNU story: BSc (Hons) Psychology and Criminology
Why did you decide to study at BNU?
I decided to study at BNU after attending an Open Day and being able to talk to my future lecturers and the Student Ambassadors. They helped answer many questions I had at that time and cleared up any of my queries. From this, I was able to identify the many perks of being a student at BNU and was immediately intrigued. This encouraged me to pursue my course of study at no other place but here!
What makes your course right for you?
I’m currently in a foundation year studying BSc (Hons) Psychology and Criminology. This course feels right for me because I have always been interested in the inner proceedings of the human mind and behaviours, therefore this choice of study is perfect. Having a passion for your chosen course is crucial as that would potentially help you get through your years at university, especially at times when you feel like giving up.
What do you love most about BNU?
At BNU, I love the opportunities for one-to-one time with lecturers, the extra academic support, the student services team, the variety of learning facilities and being a part of the Students’ Union. At BNU the students are put first, many services are offered for free, unlike many others in the UK. From societies, financial support, counselling services, CV-building activities, and skill workshops. I love that there’s always something to do to keep you on your feet, especially as I am a very active and outgoing individual.
What do you love most about your course?
The thing that I love most about my course is that I feel acknowledged by my lecturers and free to ask questions to develop my understanding. I feel motivated to attend my lectures and to maintain my punctuality due to the passion that I have for my course, and I love that for me as it will keep me drawn, and on task, at all times.
What would you say to anyone considering study at BNU?
To anyone considering studying at BNU, I would say go for it! There’s a lot offered within those walls for your success and your sustainment throughout the years. BNU is situated within High Wycombe, which is a small town, but with many transport links, you’re able to travel back and forth for commuting students and exploring neighbouring towns and cities, like London! Choosing this university comes with no regrets just gladness. Make this decision and choose a university that cares.
What’s your BNU proud moment?
As of now, my proudest moment at BNU would be my current enrolment in the Student Ambassador scheme and passing my first few essays with good grades. I believe this is a great way to start my academic year and would motivate me to pursue my future.
