Before joining Buckinghamshire New University in 2025 I completed an undergraduate degree in Medical Pharmacology before studying towards my Physician Associate MSc degree, in which I achieved a distinction. Throughout both my degrees I have worked clinically in areas such as haematology, oncology and rheumatology, all of which has allowed me to gain knowledge and understanding on how the multi-disciplinary team work as one in clinical practice.
I studied for my BSc Medical Pharmacology degree at Swansea University, and my MSc Physician Associate degree at The University of Manchester. My specialist area of interest/research is rheumatology and oncology. I am interested in these specialities because there are always new emerging medications and treatments in these fields, which allows me to use both my undergraduate degree in pharmacology alongside using the clinical knowledge I developed as a qualified physician associate.
I am a member of the General Medical Council register and I am very proud to have gained my GMC registration number.
My greatest accolade to date would be associated with my work within the oncology field, more specifically educating patients and the public on the signs and symptoms of cancer, the importance of self-examination and encouraging them to seek medical advice if they have any concerns. This work aims to break the stigma surrounding talking about symptoms. Understanding the signs and symptoms and diagnosing cancer early, most certainly does save lives!
