Dr Ayoub Zouria

Since joining Buckinghamshire New University in 2023, I have had the privilege of serving as a Senior Lecturer in Business and Partnerships within the School of Business and Law. In this role, I deliver courses on BA Hons Business Management, IMBA, and actively engage in supervising Master's and PhD dissertations. Additionally, I am responsible for overseeing several university partner institutions, including Windsor Forest College, Regent College Group, Magna Carta College, IDM Nations Sri Lanka, Cromwell UAE, and IDM International University UAE.

My academic journey includes a PhD in Business Administration from Zhejiang Gongshang University in China, a Master's degree in Audit and Cost Control from the Higher Institute of Commerce and Business Administration (ISCAE Business School) in Morocco and a PGCert in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education from the University of London. I am also a fellow of AdvanceHE.

Having been exposed to diverse cultures and educational systems, my career has led me to various corners of the world. Prior to joining Buckinghamshire New University in 2023, I have held the position of Programme Leader for Business Subjects at ONCAMPUS London South Bank University and have served as a Business and Management Lecturer in various higher education institutions including Tourism College of Zhejiang and Coventry University London ISC.

With my roots in Morocco, my research focus centres on entrepreneurship and innovation, particularly in the MENA region. My doctoral research project, "The Driving Forces Promoting Entrepreneurial Activity in MENA (Middle East and North Africa)," has garnered valuable insights into the ever-evolving business landscape. My passion for contributing to academia is evident through my publication of high-impact papers in peer-reviewed journals.

Beyond the academic realm, my expertise has made contributions to the consulting industry. As an international consultant at 5CGroup International Corporation, I specialised in finance and tax matters for companies spanning diverse sectors, including infrastructure, oil and gas, renewable energy, and "smart city" technology. 

Among my memorable achievements is being invited as a Guest Speaker in December 2020 to present on the topic "Opportunities and Challenges of Global HRM of Tourism Industry in the Post-Pandemic Era" in Hangzhou, China. This distinguished opportunity allowed me to share valuable insights on the dynamic landscape of global HRM within the tourism industry, addressing the impacts and strategies required in response to the post-pandemic environment.
