Respond to Level 7 Apprenticeship Funding Consultation

Buckinghamshire New University is calling on employers to respond to the government’s consultation on the proposed defunding of Level 7 apprenticeships, which are vital for economic growth and skill development. BNU currently delivers four level 7 apprenticeships :-Advanced Clinical Practitioner, Senior Leader, Digital Technology Solutions Specialist and Post Graduate Engineer.

  • Economic Evidence: The OBR forecasts an £800 million gap in 2024/25 between levy receipts and the apprenticeship budget, highlighting the need for strategic reinvestment. 
  • Skills England Report: Continuous education and training are crucial, with over 71% of jobs in 2035 held by the current workforce.

Employers are urged to participate in the consultation to ensure continued funding for Level 7 apprenticeships. Your feedback is essential for shaping policies that support a high-skill, high-productivity workforce.
