Professor Damien Page appointed as Deputy Vice-Chancellor at Buckinghamshire New University

Professor Damien Page has been appointed as Deputy Vice-Chancellor at Buckinghamshire New University (BNU) and will join the institution in June.  

Professor Nick Braisby, Vice-Chancellor at BNU said: 

“I am delighted that Damien is joining BNU. He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to BNU, and has a significant track record of success in senior roles. He will play an integral role in leading the successful development and delivery of the University’s Thrive 2028 strategy.”

Professor Page is currently a member of the university executive team at the University of Wolverhampton, where he is the executive lead for research and knowledge exchange and Director of the Wolverhampton Science Park. He is also Dean of the Faculty of Education, Health and Wellbeing where he leads the Schools of Allied Health and Midwifery; Education; Nursing; Psychology; Public Health; Society and Community; and Sport. He is an active researcher specialising in organisational behaviour in education settings. Prior to joining the University of Wolverhampton, Damien held roles at Leeds Beckett University and the University of Greenwich.

Commenting on his appointment, Professor Damien Page said: 

‘Having been the first in my family to go to university, I’m keenly aware of the profound impact higher education can have on the lives of individuals, families and communities and so to have been appointed as Deputy Vice Chancellor at a university with inclusion in its DNA is a privilege. Buckinghamshire New University is at the forefront of innovation in higher education and values-led practice and I’m looking forward to working with the whole university community to achieve our ambitions.’
