Why study this subject?

If you’re looking to enhance your skills in managing and leading others in practice, a short course in this area will help build your confidence and knowledge, enabling you to become a more effective manager.

What will I study?

This module will help develop your leadership and management skills through the study and analysis of a variety of theoretical models of management and leadership. You'll also identify your own management style and enhance your skills as a leader.

You'll be given the opportunity to reflect upon, analyse and critically evaluate the needs of the workforce and utilise different concepts and approaches to work psychology. This will enable you to consider concepts of planned organisational change driven by different factors like changes in legislation or in your clients and co-workers needs and expectations.

This course will enable you to understand the need for strategic vision, planning and budget control in the delivery of effective care and education within the current professional, ethical and legal context.

This course is also available as a non-credit bearing module. Students choosing this option will be awarded a certificate of Continuing Professional Development hours but will not be required to undertake a final assessment.

When will this course run?

This course runs on Fridays from 10am - 5pm at our Uxbridge campus.
