Working within supervisory role in CBT is a different skillset to what a normal therapist may be familiar with. The CBT practice is developing cultural competence, yet it is not necessarily part of all CBT trainings in detail, hence providing culturally sensitive supervision might appear to anxiety provoking. This course aims to breakdown that skill barrier and give you the skills you need to effectively practice a culturally competent supervisory role.

What will I study?
This short course will provide you with understanding of the factors that influence CBT supervision and will help you enhance the clinical practice of others in order to improve psychological therapies. Cultural supervision will be the focus of this programme which is recommended by BABCP.

- Preparation, structure, paperwork

- Difficulties in supervisions
- Increasing Cultural competence in supervision
This short course will take place over three months with one session per month.
How will I be taught and assessed?
This is a non-credit bearing course so it will not be subject to assessments. However, 100% attendance is required.
What are the course entry requirements?
The course is open to those trained CBT therapists who are working or interested in developing supervision skills in CBT.
