Biography

Before joining Buckinghamshire New University in 2018, I was I have enjoyed a substantial academic management and teaching career in higher education, further education and both international and local authority education. Whilst specialising in the delivery of psychology, I have also specialised in developing special educational needs and disabilities provision, learning support and wellbeing provision.

I have enjoyed studying for my undergraduate, postgraduate, and teaching qualifications in London, Bristol, Essex and Goldsmiths Universities where I have enhanced my academic studies with counselling, hypnotherapy and psychotherapy qualifications. I have a successful counselling, hypnotherapy and psychotherapy practice based in London and Buckinghamshire that operates independently to the University. My specialist areas of research are hypnotherapy and coaching interventions on wellbeing and counselling and coaching interventions on academic achievement.

I am a member of BPS, NCH, AfSFH.

My specialist knowledge has led me to work with a range of local authorities, bringing innovative thinking and delivery to SEND and learning support provision utilising a psychology/coaching informed foundation, the 2012 Paralympics and a range of ground-breaking youth intervention projects.
