Biography
  • Before joining Buckinghamshire New University in 2025, I spent 19 years teaching across both primary and secondary education in international, maintained and independent schools. My career highlights include working as a IGCSE Biology and Chemistry teacher at SABIS, teaching 11+ Mathematics, Team Lead and serving as Head of Primary in Cairo, where I contributed to the development of Kipling School as part of the CSDI initiative.

I studied for my BSc (Hons) in Medical Biology at Brunel University and an MA in Education through The College of New Jersey. I also hold a PGCE with QTS and have undertaken extensive CPD in Autism, dyslexia, and multisensory impairment (MI). My area of interest is neuroscience and neuropsychology in education, particularly in how they can inform inclusive pedagogy for learners with diverse needs.

I served as a school governor in a London-based school, championing the autism provision.  I’ve been a mentor through the Brent Schools Partnership adopting a holistic coaching approach and collaborative dialogue. I’ve also mentored Teach First participants, and Early Career Teachers to improve practice as well as being part of ReflectED and developing metacognitive skills in young learners.

My greatest career highlight to date is the privilege to collaborate with learners who have entrusted me to facilitate and coach them, while continuing to remain a learner myself.
