Nursing and Midwifery

A career in nursing or midwifery is fast-paced and demanding - but also deeply rewarding. We’re here to support you in developing the knowledge, practical skills, and confidence to provide safe, effective care to those who need it most.

Our expert lecturers and technicians bring extensive clinical experience into the classroom, ensuring your learning is rooted in real-world practice. You’ll also train in our purpose-built simulation wards, designed to closely mirror hospital environments.

Through simulated clinical scenarios, you’ll experience evolving situations that can be practised, repeated, and reviewed using structured reflection and debriefing. This immersive approach helps you hone your skills and prepare for real-life clinical practice.

We also offer tailored training for NHS Trusts, healthcare providers, support groups, and charities - demonstrating our strong links with the wider healthcare sector.

Our nursing and midwifery programmes combine academic study with practice-based learning. Developed in close collaboration with service users (experts by experience), NHS partners, and aligned with the latest Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) regulations, our courses reflect current healthcare needs and priorities.

Our students undertake diverse and enriching clinical placements with a range of NHS Trusts, as well as private and independent healthcare organisations. These placements allow you to apply your learning in professional settings, helping you become highly employable upon graduation.

At our three campuses, we have impressive facilities with state-of-the-art equipment. You’ll get to recreate real scenarios in realistic 'wards' so when you’re out on placement you’ll be confident in your nursing and midwifery skills.

“The last three years were the most empowering and challenging of my life so far, and I’ve loved every one of them. I’ve gained a wide range of knowledge through lectures and clinical experiences in a variety of hospitals and other settings.”
