If you're passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people, our education and training courses can help you secure your first role or take the next step in your career.

As a long-established provider in the education sector, we offer high-quality, evidence-based programmes supported by strong employer partnerships and a highly experienced academic team. Our courses are designed to stay relevant and responsive to current practice.

Our broad-based curriculum supports the development of thoughtful, flexible practitioners who can act as effective advocates for children and young people. Many of our teaching staff bring insights from senior professional roles, ensuring that our teaching is grounded in real-world experience and current practice.

With BNU, you’ll benefit from a wide range of practice-based opportunities, including placements, guest lectures, and hands-on experiences, ensuring you graduate well-prepared for the demands of the workplace.

Our strong commitment to research further enhances our programmes, keeping content up- to-date and applicable to today’s educational landscape.

After completing their studies, many students progress to teacher training routes such as School-Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT), Early Years Initial Teacher Training, or a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE). Others move into a wide range of roles in early years education, higher or community education, youth and social work, special educational needs, play therapy, charities, international development, and training or assessment.
