Once you've applied - all you need to know

Once you've applied - all you need to know

We'll check your application

We will make sure your form is fully completed and that you meet the entry requirements for your chosen course.

If we need any further information to process your application, such as copies of your passport or qualifications, we’ll email you to let you know.

If you are an International student, you will also need to provide your UKVI decision letter, original qualification documents, evidence of your Secure English Language Test (e.g. IELTS), Biometric Residence Permits (BRP) and entry clearance visa.

Once we’ve received all the necessary information, we’ll make a decision on your application and send you an offer. This will be shown on either your UCAS Hub or our application portal

We aim to reply to your application as soon as possible but occasionally, due to the volume of applications, this may take a little longer. As soon as we’ve made a decision on your application, your UCAS Hub or direct application portal will be updated and we will email you.

You can use these platforms at any time to check how your application is progressing.

What your offer means

This means we would like you to study with us as long as you meet specific conditions, such as getting certain exam results.

You’ve met all the entry requirements, or you have satisfied our entry criteria in another way, such as with a portfolio or interview.

For some courses we may ask you to attend an interview with us in order to determine your suitability for your chosen course. If you have applied through UCAS you will be notified on your dashboard. If you applied directly, we will contact you via email.

If your application isn’t suitable, we’ll include the reason for that on your UCAS Hub or our application portal and by email. In some cases, we can also provide additional feedback, but we can’t always guarantee this.

Make BNU your firm choice

If you have applied to multiple universities through UCAS and you’ve heard back from all the universities you’ve applied to, you can choose your firm (first) and insurance (second) choices UCAS Hub

The deadline for making these choices will depend on when you submitted your application and received your offers – check out the UCAS website to make sure you don’t miss out.

Your exam results

If you’re waiting for exam results, we will usually receive these directly from the exam board when released.

If you’ve met the conditions of your offer, we’ll confirm your place by email, and it will show on your UCAS Hub or direct application portal. Then the exciting bit starts as we’ll send you all the information you need to enrol on your course and join us at BNU.

If you don’t meet the conditions of your offer, don’t panic. Sometimes we’re able to be flexible if your application is strong and you only just miss your predicted grades, or we may be able to offer you an alternative programme, such as those with a Foundation Year.
