Having logged in and completed the previous step, when prompted to open the AppsAnywhere application, click Yes or OK to continue.

Once validation has been successful, you will see a green banner. You can tick the ‘Don't show me this again’ message on the reminder banner to stop it being displayed in the future.

If you fail to install the agent on Windows, AppsAnywhere will fail to validate, which is indicated by a red validation failed banner at the top of the page

If this occurs, click on Retry. If that does not solve the issue, restart your web browser and log back into AppsAnywhere.

Using Appsanywhere

Once successfully logged in and validated, you will be presented with all the applications you are able to run. The list of applications you see will depend on who you are, what device you are on and your geographical location (some applications are only available while on the University Campus, some only in the UK and others anywhere in the world).

To launch an application simply find it on the page and click Launch. You may be prompted again to launch or switch an application, in which case confirm this action.

The first time you launch an application it will be downloaded to your device and prepared to launch. Depending on your internet connectivity and the performance of your device this can take upwards of ten minutes with larger applications, so be patient! This only happens at first launch as the application will be cached to your device so subsequent launches will be much faster.

The application will launch and run on your computer just as if it was installed locally, so you can access all your local files as normal. When finished, close it and AppsAnywhere will take care of everything else.

You do not need to keep the AppsAnywhere website open whilst using the application, only the Cloudpaging client needs to be running.
