Inter-campus bus service

Inter-campus bus service

There is no parking available on campus for students during the week, unless you are a blue badge holder, so you may find yourself struggling to get to campus if you live far away. Luckily, BNU has a free shuttle bus which travels between two of the campuses. All BNU students and staff can use this service for free as long as they show their valid Buckinghamshire New University ID card and scan it as they get on the bus. This is a great way for students to get from one campus to the other hassle free with great service.

The shuttle bus travels from the Uxbridge campus to the High Wycombe campus and back. The journey between the Uxbridge campus and High Wycombe campus usually takes around 25 minutes. Although, when there is traffic during peak times the journey may take up to 35 minutes.

To catch the bus from the Uxbridge campus, turn right from outside the reception and right again and wait by the university on Sanderson Road. To catch the bus from the High Wycombe campus, exit reception and walk down to the bus stop on Queen Alexandra Road. The bus stops here and picks students up.

When travelling between campuses for classes, make sure to plan your journeys in advance as you wouldn’t want to take the bus at the wrong time and be late to lesson. When you want to use the shuttle bus ensure to make it to the pickup spot on time, as the service leaves promptly as scheduled. During peak times, the bus may be fairly packed so I recommend you get there a bit early so you can get a seat.
