Date: Tuesday 2 July 2024
Time: 5.30-8pm
Location: High Wycombe campus
Buckinghamshire New University's (BNU) School of Business and Law announces its collaboration with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) to present a series of networking events, with the inaugural event focusing on the critical topic of Sustainability in Marketing.
In today's world, sustainability has become more than just a buzzword; it's a crucial aspect of business strategy. However, it's often misunderstood or overlooked. BNU and CMI aim to shed light on this issue by providing real insights into how businesses can authentically contribute to environmental preservation through their decisions.
"Sustainability isn't merely about saving the planet; it's about fostering a sustainable business model that enhances productivity and positively impacts the bottom line," said Francesca Martin, Knowledge Transfer Partnerships Manager at BNU. "Through this collaboration with CMI, we're excited to bring together academics and industry representatives to showcase tangible examples of how sustainable marketing decisions have made a genuine difference."
The event will feature presentations and discussions led by Hajrija Dergic, Senior Lecturer in Marketing and Sustainability and Parmjeet Kooner, Head of Marketing & External Partnerships at Wintech Engineering, providing attendees with valuable insights into the practical application of green marketing principles in business operations. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in a stimulating Q&A session and network with like-minded professionals from the region.
"We are delighted to partner with BNU to deliver a series of insightful events for the local business community," remarked Matthew Platt at CMI. "Our first event will demonstrate how academic theory in sustainability translates into tangible impacts within real businesses. We encourage businesses to join us at BNU's High Wycombe campus for an enriching experience."
