BNU returns to the TVCC Business Awards 2026
Buckinghamshire New University (BNU) is continuing a decade-long commitment to supporting regional excellence as sponsor for the 2026 TVCC Business Awards.
The partnership marks another year of BNU acting as a civic anchor for the Thames Valley, celebrating the businesses that drive innovation and social value in our community. This year, BNU is proud to return as the headline sponsor for the Commitment to the Community award.
BNU’s decision to renew its sponsorship reflects a deep-rooted belief in the power of business ecosystem. Having championed the regional awards for 10 years, the university’s involvement in 2026 is a testament to its mission of supporting inclusive growth and regional prosperity.
Francesca Martin, Knowledge Transfer Partnerships Manager at BNU, said: "We believe that a business’s true value isn't just found in its financial success, but in how it opens doors for others. By sponsoring the Commitment to Community award, we’re celebrating those who prove that 'profit' and 'participation' go hand-in-hand. At BNU, we don’t just want to see businesses grow; we want to see them become inclusive spaces where everyone in our community has a seat at the table.”
The sponsorship helps to bridge the gap between academic research and industry success, creating a consistent pipeline for the next generation of talent.
Professor Sarah Williams, Pro-Vice Chancellor of External Collaborations, said: “BNU's presence at the awards gala puts our students and graduates front of mind with the region's most community-minded businesses. This creates vital opportunities with employers who share our values regarding social impact and responsibility. For the businesses involved, engaging with BNU offers access to a pipeline of work-ready graduates and apprentices who can help embed that community commitment into their workforce for the long term."
Entries are now open for the award. BNU is looking forward to seeing how Thames Valley enterprises have evolved to meet new challenges.
Professor Williams added: “If your organisation is genuinely making a difference in its community, this is the moment to let that work be seen. Beyond the recognition, it's a real opportunity to connect with like-minded businesses, local partners, and the next generation of talent coming through BNU who want to build careers with organisations that stand for something.”
Local businesses are encouraged to join BNU in celebrating the best of the region by submitting their entries before the deadline later this month.
