They are aesthetically pleasing

I am a person who can study extremely well in a beautiful place. It may sound weird, but it is true. And the new spaces are so bright and beautiful that you can’t help but feel productive when working in them. Studying at Beeches students can get their work done and if they are hungry, don’t have to wonder far because they are already in a restaurant. 

Within Beeches there are many study spaces. Inside the restaurant and to the side of it. You can go from studying to meeting your up with friends for lunch with ease. You could also study at The Garden Café which I love. There is just a vibe that makes me get work done, seeing other people work and the smell of warm coffee and hazelnut really gets me in the mood to focus. There are also benches and tables outside the Garden Café, which are great in the summer when it’s hot. You can get a nice cold drink, sit outside and chill. I enjoy an iced coffee with hazelnut syrup, it is divine.

I also love how the new spaces have been built. The architecture of the new Dove building is stunning. The ray of sunshine that beams through the wide windows in the Winter Garden onto the walls and ceiling, open the space even more.

Accessibility

The Garden Café is on the ground floor of the gateway building, where the library is located, right next to the gym. Which means that after a workout you can go and get a nice protein smoothie. And Beeches is located on the ground floor of the new Dove building, next to West Wing where many classes are taught. Both are easily accessible for students to go and grab lunch or a quick coffee during a study break. Beeches is also right next to the winter garden and the Atrium, so you have a wide range of spaces to enjoy your food or to just chill.

The selection of food and drinks

The food served by the new catering company is great. The Garden Café serve great healthy snacks and Beeches serve hot and cold meals. I love that they change the menu daily with a variety of options. I will say that I enjoy adding a bit more seasoning, but this is coming from a Nigerian who loves seasoning so don’t come for me. 

The prices at Beeches are very student friendly so you won’t break the bank, plus the food is loaded onto your plate. So, you truly get what you paid for. The delightful aroma of tasty food just hits you as soon as you step into that part of the building.
