Biography

Before joining Buckinghamshire New University in 2011, I was a student of BNU, studying Audio and Music Production. Since graduating with a First-Class Honours degree, I have worked and studied across Europe, most notably at Monnow Valley in Wales, Studio La Fabrique in France and Ghost City in Germany. I have been able to learn and share experiences with artists such as Joss Stone, Jack Savoretti and Uriah Heep as well as audio professionals such as Jack Joseph Puig and Steve Levine. In 2017, I set up my own mobile recording studio called Longcroft Recording which I run alongside my lecturing role.

I studied for my MA at The London College of Music and my specialist area of interest was recording techniques and production philosophy. I very much enjoy and specialise in researching the most important recording methods of yesteryear within this modern digital era in order to celebrate the art form of capturing musical performance.
