Dr Muntasir Al-Asfoor

Before joining Buckinghamshire New University in 2022, I lectured at the University of Reading, department of Computer Science.

I studied for my PhD in Computing and Electronic Systems at the University of Essex in 2014 and my specialist areas of interest are distributed artificial intelligence, agents and multi-agent systems, and intelligent routing in WSNs. With a substantial growth in the amount of data productions nowadays, the need for intelligent methods to process this data and extract insights have become a necessity. Applying AI techniques and fusing them with distributed/network resources opens the doors for substantial improvement in their performance.

I am a member of IEEE, IAENG and am working towards membership of higher education academy.

My specialist knowledge has led me to work with well-known people in my field of research such as Prof. Maria Fasli (University of Essex), Prof. Salah Al-Majeed (Lincoln) and coresearchers from international institutions in Germany, Australia, Ireland, and Middle East.
