Mohamed Omar Mohamed

Before joining Buckinghamshire New University in 2019, I was working as a senior operations manager for an international security company in Africa, following my career in policing.

I studied for my Master’s in Business Administration MBA at Leicester University and my Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Policing and Investigations at Teesside University. I have attained several professional development qualifications in security and risk management, crisis management, counter and anti- terrorism and education. My specialist areas of interest include Counter Terrorism, Racism, Security and Risk Management, Crisis Management, Total Quality Management, and Policing and Investigations.

I am a member of International Security Management Institute, Anti-Terrorism Accreditation Board and Higher Education Authority.

My specialist knowledge has led me to work with Durham Constabulary in operational policing and the criminal investigation department. I worked in the fingerprinting project, LIVESCAN, where I trained police officers and conducted research on officers’ safety. I have also worked in the security industry in a senior operational role, managing complex security operations and conducting investigations.
