Brian Sheppard
Before joining Buckinghamshire New University in 2013 I was working as the Clinical Lead / Dual Diagnosis in the borough of Hillingdon.
I studied for my Msc at Middlesex University and my specialist area of interest/research is Dual Diagnosis. I attempted to find the best treatment for clients that suffer with schizophrenia that smoke cannabis. To date there have not been any treatment for client that smoke cannabis and suffer with schizophrenia. Recently, I was involved in some work looking at the experiences of transgender individuals that suffer with mental health problems.
I am a member of the NMC.
My greatest accolade to date is writing a chapter during the lock down on Covid and the meaning of fear from a psychosocial perspective, and the impact of social media.
