Biography

I came back to nursing later in life, as I have always known nursing is something ‘I had to do!’ My working background is both wide and varied embracing both the corporate world and public sector. Additionally, I have studied at a variety of higher education institutions across the last twenty years.

I work concurrently as a senior lecturer, and in primary care, as a general practice nurse/nurse practitioner. I am passionate about the education of our future nurses and allied healthcare professionals. As a keen innovator, I am committed to providing the best possible care for client users, and believe, as a ‘team,’ we must ensure we innovate the ‘educational approach’ to meet the needs of a radically evolving NHS.

I am very pleased to be part of the team at Buckinghamshire New University, lecturing across two programmes, namely, the General Practice Nurse programme and the Non-Medical Prescribing programme.

My specialist areas of interest are minor illness and respiratory disease, and I am aiming to commence my master’s degree in September 2021.
