Year of entry: Foundation Year (32-56 tariff points or 48-88 for BSc (Hons) Adult Nursing only)
  • Kenyan Certificate (KCSE) Grade Mean C (Plain) average in 5 or more subjects.
  • IELTS 5.5 with no element under 5.5 or equivalent OR
  • KCSE English minimum grade 6/C.
Year of Entry: Undergraduate Year 1 (88 - 112 tariff points)
  • Kenyan Certificate (KCSE) Grade Mean C +(Plus) average in 6 or more subjects.
  • IELTS 6.0 with no element under 5.5 or equivalent OR KCSE English minimum grade 6/C.
Year of Entry: Undergraduate Year 1 (100 - 128 tariff points or 112-136 for BSc (Hons) Adult Nursing only)
  • 2-3 Years Kenya Diploma/ Diploma in Technical Education Programme awarded by Kenya National Examinations Council or recognised Polytechnics with a Pass.
  • Kenyan Certificate (KCSE) - Grade Mean B - (Minus) average in 7 or more subjects.
  • IELTS 6.0 with no element under 5.5 or equivalent OR
  • KCSE English minimum grade 6/C.
  • To study BSc (Hons) Adult Nursing at BNU we require an IELTS score of 6.0 overall with no section below 6.0 or equivalent.  
Year of Entry: Masters
  • Bachelor degree 2:2 (4 years of study).
  • IELTS 6.5 with no element under 6.0 or equivalent OR KCSE English minimum grade 6/C.

Please note that the entry criteria detailed below is for the majority of courses, however some courses such as BSc (Hons) NursingBSc (Hons) Professional Practice (Healthcare)BSc (Hons) Social Work and BSc (Hons) Aviation Management with Pilot Training may require higher academic and English levels.
