BNU Midwifery apprentice named Student Midwife of the Year by Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust

Buckinghamshire New University (BNU) Midwifery apprentice Lily Graham has been awarded Student Midwife of the Year by Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. 

The prestigious certificate was presented as part of the International Day of the Midwife celebrations and recognised Lily's outstanding dedication, compassion, and professionalism during her first year of training.

Addressing the award, BNU's Apprenticeship Partnership Manager Anika Tasseva said: "From the outset, Lily has demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to patient care, consistently going above and beyond to support women and families during one of the most important times in their lives. Her ability to combine clinical excellence with empathy and teamwork has earned her the admiration of both her peers and mentors.

This award not only highlights her personal achievements but also reflects the strength and quality of our Midwifery programme, which continues to nurture the next generation of healthcare professionals. We are incredibly proud of Lily’s success and the positive impact she is already making in the field and her journey is an inspiration to all aspiring midwives and a shining example of the difference compassionate care can make."
