I decided BNU was the place for me after seeing the variety of workshops offered throughout my degree, as well as the workshop I would be based in.

Our BA (Hons) Textile Design graduate, Camilla Olesky, recently sat down and spoke to us about her experiences at BNU and how that has helped her after graduating.

Camilla shared that she was drawn to the great state-of-the-art facilities offered at BNU, including our fashion and textile hub in the RedShed“I decided BNU was the place for me after seeing the variety of workshops offered throughout my degree, as well as the workshop I would be based in.”

During her time as a Buckinghamshire New University student, Camilla said “Workshop support wasn’t something I took for granted, as I was keen to learn as much as possible. I also learnt how to use the adobe software, which I’d advise all textiles students to do. This helped me create both a digital and physical portfolio I could take out into the world once graduated.”

Camilla stated that she also had the chance to attend ‘New Designers’, Something other universities may not be able to offer. She also shared that “With the help of my course leader I was able to push myself to create a collection I was proud of.”
