Dr Sena Quaye

Biography

Before joining Buckinghamshire New University in 2006, I worked as a researcher at the Royal College of Psychiatrist (College Research Unit). Prior to this I worked in forensic and social settings, these included working as an assistant psychologist at Holloway Prison.

I studied for my PhD at Brunel University, which increased my interest in socio-cognitive psychological processes. My diverse areas of interest include the processes that underlie emotional expression and perception, decision making, sexual health, and existential and experiential areas of psychology. I also collaborate with colleagues on areas including faciometrics, pedagogical issues relating to the practice of teaching research methods, and the life narratives of academics. Psychological enquiry is my passion, this is reflected in my wide-ranging interest within the discipline.

I am a chartered member of the BPS (C.Psychol) and a fellow of the HEA.
