Biography
  • Before joining BNU, I served as a Practice Development Nurse in the Acute General Medicine department at John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford University Hospitals NHS trust, where I played a key role in advancing clinical practice and staff development.

My nursing journey began with a Diploma in Nursing from the School of Nursing, Karnataka, which laid the foundation for a diverse and enriching career. I gained valuable experience as a Renal Specialty Nurse in both India and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, before relocating to the UK. Since becoming an NMC-registered nurse in 2003, I have primarily worked in haemodialysis units and elderly care settings, including nursing homes. I have successfully completed my Renal speciality course from Brookes University in 2009 as well as mentorship course from the same university in 2010.

My career progression includes serving as a Team Leader in a rental unit, followed by a transition into Acute General Medicine as a Clinical Educator. This role allowed me to broaden my expertise in managing a wide range of medical conditions and enhancing nursing care delivery. In pursuit of academic growth, I completed my BSc in Nursing at Oxford Brookes University in 2023, and successfully earned a Postgraduate Certificate in Practice Education from BNU in 2024.

After dedicating many years to hands-on patient care, I felt a strong calling to transition into higher education—a long-standing aspiration of mine. Driven by a deep passion for teaching and mentoring, I sought to pass on the insights, expertise, and practical skills I had gained throughout my nursing career to empower and inspire future generations of nurses.
