Before joining Buckinghamshire New University in 2025, I worked at the University of Surrey as an Associate Director, furthering research on Europe and UK relations. Before this, I had a career in international security and defence, working both as a consultant and in the EU and NATO International Staff. 

Having studied for my masters in International Relations at the College of Europe and KU Leuven, my specialist interest is in the role of international organisations in operating in war and conflict areas, and in recent years the role more of industry and government in maintaining societal balance within conflict. I am also currently a PhD Candidate, looking at the structured way in which isolationist governments affect the running of international civil-military operations.

I’m proud of the work I have done in Ukraine to date, both in humanitarian and political spheres and look forward to continuing to teach and learn from many in the sphere of defence and security.
