Dr Nandini Das

Biography

Before joining Buckinghamshire New University in May 2022, I worked in Further Education as an early years assessor, functional skills lecturer and GCSE English and Maths lecturer for 10 years. From 2005 to 2009 I took a career break to raise my family.

Prior to that I worked extensively on Health and Demographic Surveillance systems in India and South Africa. Having completed my master’s degrees in Economics and Demography I did my PhD in Labour Market studies. I am also a qualified early year professional.

My interest lies in quantitative analysis techniques used in research related to health and education. Alongside I am also trying to gain expertise in qualitative research through my MPhil in Education. It entails assessment of different pedagogic approaches to improve engagement of students in numeracy lessons.

My greatest accolade to date is the publication of my PhD thesis in the form of a book.
