Biography

Before joining Buckinghamshire New University in 2021, I was working as a Health visitor at Berkshire Healthcare Foundation Trust.

I studied for my BSc (Hons) Children’s Nursing at Buckinghamshire New University, I also studied Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (Health Visitor) at Buckinghamshire New University. My specialist area of interest is maternal mental health and infant feeding. I have further my interest and my knowledge and qualified as an Infant Feeding Coach with the Infant Feeding Academy. It is interesting because infant feeding is one of the many nursing skills, we can learn to support child growth, the reduction of infectious diseases and the reduction of hospital admissions.

I am a member of the NMC and HEA as an Associate Fellow. I am currently working towards my Fellowship.

My specialist knowledge has led me to create a small business called MAMMAE which focuses on colostrum harvesting and infant feeding support. I have had the pleasure of working with a variety of families up and down the country and most recently have had the pleasure of working with Malin Anderson, Izzy Judd, Bonnie Wright, Millie Mackintosh and Carrie Johnson.

My greatest accolade to date is my current role that I hold which is Field lead of the Pre-registration child nursing students.
