I am a Lecturer in Child Nursing at Buckinghamshire New University, where I currently serve as Field Lead for Pre-registration Child Nursing students and Recruitment Lead for Pre-Registration Nursing & Midwifery students. My academic and clinical expertise spans child health, maternal mental health, and infant feeding.
I am actively engaged in scholarly writing and have contributed to chapters on medicines management in collaboration with colleagues from adult and mental health nursing. Additionally, I co-authored a chapter on cells in the human body with a fellow child nursing specialist. To further enhance my academic practice, I have commenced an MSc in Medical and Healthcare Education.
Alongside my academic role, I maintain clinical practice as a bank pre-assessment and day surgical children’s nurse in the private sector. I am also expanding my specialist skills in infant feeding, having qualified as an Infant Feeding Coach with the Infant Feeding Academy in September 2022 and recently begun training as a Tongue Tie Assessor.
Before joining Buckinghamshire New University in 2021, I worked as a Health Visitor at Berkshire Healthcare Foundation Trust. My educational background includes a BSc (Hons) in Children’s Nursing and a Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (Health Visitor) qualification, both from Buckinghamshire New University.

My specialist interest in maternal mental health and infant feeding led me to establish MAMMAE, a small business dedicated to colostrum harvesting and infant feeding support. Through this venture, I have had the privilege of working with families across the UK, including high-profile clients such as Malin Anderson, Izzy Judd, Bonnie Wright, Millie Mackintosh, and Carrie Johnson. In response to the rising cost of living crisis, I have recently introduced free community consultations to ensure that infant feeding advice remains accessible to all families, regardless of financial circumstances. This initiative reflects my commitment to reducing health inequalities and supporting parents during the crucial early stages of their child’s development.
