Biography

Before joining Buckinghamshire New University in 2018, I had just finished studying my degree in Sports Therapy. Upon graduation I was given the opportunity to help with some teaching at the university and have continued to do so ever since. After working as in Associate Lecturer for a number of years, I now have the full-time role of a Graduate Teaching Associate. Alongside my work at the university, I work at Maidenhead United Football Club, RAMS Rugby Club and run my own business to keep up my professional skills.

I studied for my BSc in Sports Therapy at Buckinghamshire New University and was amongst the first graduates from the degree programme at BNU. During my time at the university I worked hard with the lecturers to take all opportunities for work experience. I secured my first work experience during welcome week and I am proud to say that the experience I gained really made a difference to my studies and the successes I have had, which has now led me to my work at BNU. I am proud to be part of the team that is offering and delivering these experiences and more to our students on the course.

I am a member of The Society of Sports Therapists who are the accrediting professional body for the Sports Therapy course.

My greatest accolade to date/My career highlight is being the first on this programme to achieve a First-Class Honours degree. The pride of walking across the stage with my family and class friends there was truly amazing, and I look forward to helping others achieve this same goal here at Buckinghamshire New University.
